Beneath the Boughs

image

I seek quiet.

Not from the world around me,  but from the whirl within me.

A moment beneath the boughs, standing amid the falling petals, when I’m not his, or theirs, or unsure of what I want to be.

I seek silence in the breeze.

A shushing of the doubts.

A surety of me.
